I have a 46" Westinghouse LCD + a Wii w/ component cables outputting in 480p widescreen. For several months this setup was working fine. I have made no changes to any homebrew or anything since it was last working. One day suddenly the component cables just stopped working correctly. The image on my screen is either intermittent/flashing or "no signal".

If I use the standard composite cable (yellow) that came with the Wii it works fine.

Is this a known problem for Wiis to just stop outputting the component signal correctly?

take it to a friend to test, so that you know if it's the wii, the cable, or the tv.

to be honest, it's more likely to be the damned tv.

I suppose anything is possible. What would cause a TV to just stop working correctly with a device that is connected to it? Especially since it was working fine for several months.

I will try to test it with another TV though.
