So I'm emulating FF6 Advance on my New N3DS XL that has a few QoL patches installed, and everything was working fine, until I got to the part where you have to defend the esper on Narshe mountain from Kefka. I get to the Moogle in the dark background screen, and after he's done talking, it just stays on that screen, just the Moogle and the black background with the sounds of wind as well. I'm not sure what to do. I tried deleting the game and reinstalling it and injected my save that I backed up and same issue persists. I'd rather not start all over again, and if it's one of the patches, I don't know which one.

Are you using a Jap/USA rom or a European one? The Japanese and American versions of the game on GBA had a lot of strange bugs that got fixed in the European version. In saying that it's a bug I haven't heard about so it maybe one of the QoL patches you have applied.

It's the European rom, so it might be from one or more of the QoL patches that's causing the bug. I'll be upset cause then I might either have to start over or find a save file that stops up to that point in the game online and I'm not sure a specific save file for that exists.

Try using an emulator on your computer (or Rpi, or smartphone, or whatever) to get past that point. Then inject the save file once you can save again. Or even Retroarch on the n3ds if you have nothing better.

That's a good idea. I'm using visualboyadvance m to do this, so how do I skip or move forward past the screen? What option is that to do so?

Ok I ran it in one of the emulators and I got these 2 error codes in the logs:

[GAME ERROR] GBA I/O: Read from write-only I/O register: 0C4
[GAME ERROR] GBA I/O: Read from write-only I/O register: 0D0

Not sure how to fix these.
