webMAN MOD and RetroArch freeze the PS3

No matter what I do, webMAN MOD and RetroArch freeze my PS3. I formatted the HDD, reinstalled CFW, reinstalled webMAN MOD and RetroArch and changed the former's memory usage settings to no avail.

WebmanMod also freezes my Ps3. However, I've found if I use my cellphone or computer to operate webman, the likelihood greatly diminishes. I recommend you to mount/unmount your games using either multiman or webman through another device.

Working beautifully here. Just did a phat + 2tb usb and a slim 1tb internal. Had to use DNS trick for jailbreak since bguerville's PS3 Toolset main is down.

Hen with 4.89 was also working as I tired that 1st on the slim.

How can the phone or the PC be used to run webMAN MOD? It doesn't make sense having to use another device to fix this issue. Also, I was told multiMAN shouldn't be installed if webMAN MOD is already installed because the PS3 may freeze.

Do your PS1 games alow down? I didn't know ps3xploit.com could be accessed by changing the DNS on the PS3. I can't access it right now on the phone.

I massively used both Webman and Multiman so it can't choose between the two. If you want to connect to webman, you just need to type down the ps3's ip into your browser and that's it! Both devices must be hooked up to the same network.

If your ps3 also freezes while gaming or BD playing, you may want to considered to change the thermal paste.

Now, I recall doing that. It also froze that way.

Some of my friends also have this issue right after cleaning the PS3 and applying new thermal paste.

When donations hit their mark the servers should be fully migrated. Until then dns works as I just did 2 ps3s.

Yeah its on psx-place straight from the devs and thats how we got the dns workaround.

Their shit was illegally sold off so they are migrating. Nevertheless you can still jb all cfw'able models as long as dns works.

For the peple having freeze issues have you guys tried only installing webman + Retroarch? Perhaps something else isntalled is causing issues?

Yes. Even if using only one of them I have this problem.

I've been told this problem may also happen with both multiMAN and webMAN MOD installed at the same time.

EDIT: I installed RetroArch CE (unofficial Beta updated 2022-03-11) and it no longer freezes my PS3 but the console still freezes outside it so could it be webMAN MOD's fault?

Anyway, I'll use PS TV's RetroArch (and PS Vita's) since it's available on RetroArch's official website unlike PS3's RetroArch and its version is newer than the last time PS3's RetroArch was available on RetroArch's official website so I'll delete it.

PS2's and PSP's RetroArch have slowness after loading ROMs, some of the former's cores cause a black screen and some of the latter's cores even turn off the console so I won't use PS2's and PSP's RetroArch as well. I won't run emulators on the PS2 but on the PS TV and PS Vita (RetroArch, like I said) and I'll run EmuMaster and UO gpSP Kai on the PSP, though EmuMaster has somewhat slowness (at least it doesn't turn off the PSP like some RetroArch cores).

EDIT 2: I bought an used PS3 since the previous stopped reading BRs, installed webMAN MOD and it hasn't been freezing my PS3 so maybe it was the previous PS3's HDD's fault. Anyway, I got used to IRISMAN so I uninstalled webMAN MOD again.

EDIT 3: The new official website is ps3xploit.me and it works without changing the PS3's DNS.

It seems PS2's, PSP's and PS Vita's RetroArch are unauthorized ports according to the official RetroArch website (which also says RetroArch is "Coming soon" in the PS3 section [it does it for years] and that in the meantime unofficial versions of it are available elsewhere).

EDIT: I gave webMAN MOD a new chance and before reinstalling it I deleted IRISMAN. The "webMAN games" setting was empty with my external HDD connected to the PS3, which is odd. I disconnected it, restarted the PS3 and it was no longer empty. I installed prepISO, connect the external HDD to the PS3 (the "webMAN games" setting is no longer empty) and use prepISO to scan the external HDD every time I make changes to my PS1 and PS3 games in the external HDD (which are now in the same partition, since when I was using IRISMAN I wanted to be able to toggle between the PS1 emulators and I couldn't do that if running PS1 games from the external HDD's NTFS partition where my PS3 games were but only if running the PS1 games from the external HDD's FAT32 partition [and it had to be the first external HDD partition, because if not, the PS1 games weren't even found]) since the external HDD is formatted as NTFS (also, IIRC, even after using prepISO, it wasn't reflecting the changes I made to the PS1 and PS3 games in the external HDD when it had two partitions [a FAT32 one for PS1 games and a NTFS one for PS3 ones] but it does after putting them in a single NTFS one).

EDIT 2: There's multiMAN MOD which supports exFAT and NTFS unlike multiMAN.
