Hacking WBFS Windows Gui

An option to move around (copy) a dumped iso from one WBFS drive to another would be great for managing games and keeping a backup.

Thanks for the GUI .. looks neat.

I second that , some kind of feature allowing you to "copy and paste" to another drive would be great , as I am sure many here will want to upgrade their hard disks at some point and backup their ISO's, incase of disk failure.. and being able to backup the iso's wil save having to create them all aagin..

wbfs gui loads up fine. i can see how much free space i have. i can see what games i have put on via the wii, but i carnt trasfer any iso's from my pc to the drive! any ideas?

Don't use space in names, respect the upper/lower case, etc...

If your ISO is in a folder with spaces or the ISO itself has spaces this tool won't work!

C:\Wii ISO\Excite Truck.iso WON'T WORK

C:\ISO\Excite_Truck.iso WILL WORK!

Hi,

I finally got it going after 2 hours OMG.
Thanks to all that helped me.
I download 1 called "WBFSManager" and it works greatttttt.

I can't get the prog to work keep getting the "can't open drive" msg
even when trying command line init.
been searchin for above everywhere.

Hey Guys, as soon as I get home I will try and figure out some of the problems people have been having
I have a feeling that Its to do with the formatting, sorry i forgot to add the init button to format the drive to the GUI.

Will see if I can sort out any of the other problems like the directory spacing and maybe try and add some of your suggestions, remember I didnt make the actuall program that does the extracting etc. I just added a nice gui but i will do whatever I can =)

Have you formatted it to wbfs in your wii?
Is the any spaces in the directory address for the tool?
Is the and space in the directory address to the ISO example super mario.iso will not work make it super_mario.iso

Put quotes "" around your file. Probably has spaces in it, and since this gui doesn't check or something, you've got to do it yourself

A little more info below about the steps I tried, thanks for your effort.

a) i formated the drive in the wii, added wii sports, played fine.
b) connect drive back to PC.
c) Partition shows up as RAW with drive letter J.
d) Load the gui add iso path and enter J in the destination box, press add and get msg cant open drive.
e) Try formating again on the command line with wbfs_win.exe J init, same msg.
f) Connect drive to wii again, wii sports still running.
g) Remove Wii Sports using USB Launcher
h) Retry b,c,d,e still getting the same msg.
i) Try using command line to format a different partition, same msg.

Seems like you are having the same problem as me guess Ill just dump through my wii for now.

For Windows Vista User this is how you do it. I figure it Out and it's Really Easy to do

OK Right click simplewbfs.exe and go to Properties and Click on Compatibility Tablet and then unchecked the Run Program and Scroll down to Windows XP Service
Pack 2 if you have it and finally click Run Program as Administrator

That should solve the problem of the flashing Command deal (*_*)

C:\ISO>

(I've tried also to but my .ISO file in a other hard disc... failed with same problem...)

Just remove the space in the folder name and it should work correctly il fix it when I have time

After doing this I got a new message: "could not open drive: No error"... I don`t know why and it happens on every button I push...

Now that I think about it: Could it be an issue, that my HDD is a partition (which was successfully formatted to wbfs via Wii and is listed as RAW in the Computer Manager and has the letter H)?Because the USBLoader has no problem with the partition but I don`t know how this pc-app is handling the partition, since it obviously doesn`t recognize it...

Can one burn the ISO extracted through this tool, i.e. can I dump using the USB-loader and then use this tool to extract and burn to DVD-R that can be loaded with BackupLoader 3.0G.

You're running everything from C:\ISO? So the application must be there and the ISO's
To me it looks like you downloaded it to a personel folder in your My Documents.
