BAD MAGIC means you have set the wrong HDD/SD/WHATEVER letter OR YOU HAVE FORMATED YOUR HDD/SD WITH THE CYGWIN BUILD, you need to format with http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=144475 or it won't work !
And refrain from talking shit about people taking a bit of their time to share their app, you should be warned for being such an ass.

This added all ISO files in my ISO folder to the partition (works with the cygwin WBFS tool).jservs7 said:I still might have to stick to Knoppix until I feel more secure about the whole drive letter thing. Kinda wish this can actually sniff out the wbfs partition from a drive, might make it safer.
Should be possible with
where X is your drive (maybe hdX on older computers). Didn't test it but on linux there is usually no differnece in getting data directly from the drive or from a ISO file.Code:./wbfs add /dev/sdX
EDIT: Sorry, read wrong. I thought you want to copy a backup disc directly from your computer to the WBFS partition because this is still fatser than the Wii and you don't have to dump the whole 4,3GB.
for %a in (*.iso) DO wbfs.exe add %akeyra said:nice pctool works like a charm, now we just need a queue command![]()

Well, it's people using the Cygwin build that have problems. I know i had the same problem of "bad magic", it's just an incorrect partition, you need to format the drive in FAT/NTFS in Disk Management or whatever (i have VISTA so i don't know for XP), and then use init with the wbfswin, not the cygwin build.
Your drive needs a letter assigned before you can use it in this, if you drive doesn't have any, you need to format it again, as simple as that, and the wbfs cygwin build doesn't need a drive letter to work, but it's confusing people now.

i formatted using usb loader on the wii and this works for me.shanefromoz said:Ok so your saying if i formatted using usb loader on the wii the wbfs gui will not work??
What do i have to format my portable hard drive with and will it be read using usb loader and on the pc using wbfs gui?
Cheers
