I encountered a problem, which has to do with both the WBFS tool and the partition on HDD.

I'm sure this has been said before, but after some testing, i found some corrupt iso's, and deleted those games from the HD (WBFS).

After installing other games on the same WBFS, some of my previous games immediately stopped working as in code dumping out. These games DID work before.
Could this be due to fragmentation of games? If another game is added in place of one deleted game, could it be some data gets overwritten in a block?

Is there a way to defragment WBFS? if not, is it something that could be looked into?
I for one am very bothered by the fact that if a game gets "installed", and doesn't work due to corruption, i have to delete it and reinstall another game in its place, thus risking more games not working.

There's a thread talking about this problem and there's a gui with a defrag option in there if you need it. I don't yet know if it works, but if it does it could be added to the gui from this topic.

I can´t imagine why isn´t the makeHBC option implemented? i think that would make a more complete tool and seems to me as a simple addition.

Of course the Channel creation would be great too, but this is a function beyond wbfs_win.exe.

Need some help with GUI problems. I have formatted my near full drive twice already. It getting really annoying not having any GUI detect my drive. I have formatted via USB loader and command line neither ways work. I have tried multiple GUIs and nothing works. I formatted to WBFS from NTFS and FAT32 and nothing works. Does anyone know why my drive isn't detected by any GUI?

Pretty much all the GUI's use the same command line applications. So that's why all of them are failing.
Make sure you run the application with administrator priviliges and also make sure windows has assigned a drive letter to the partition

OMG you son of a bitch! Im so happy and so mad! I sware I had ran it as admin before but it wouldn't work but know that you said it, it works. You made me look stupid... and I couldn't be happier. I could kiss you.... preferably not though.

I've been using this GUI since it first released, and I love it. Now I have a dumb question. I've been using WBFSM 2.0 on XP 32-bit, and I can't tell if the second download link for WBFSManager2.1-x86.zip is an update for XP users, or if both 2.1 updates are for Vista. I'd like to have the best version for XP 32-bit available.

Version 2.1 has a fix for Windows XP users as well. Be sure to get that version. There've been no major changes or feature additions. The only changes (as mentioned in the changes section) are a fix for Win XP users, and support for 64 bit operating systems.
Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone.

I hope you continue working on it. Don't overwhelm yourself though, as people will be asking for a lot of crazy/dumb features. Keep your own pace

can someone plz post the non-install version of this?
i really want it but we only have a family pc and we are not allowed to install programs like this (we only have programs like words, excel, winrar and stuff).

you might want to ask the author directly but he said hi wont release a non installer version because the program needs .net runtime 3.5. if you already have that one installed he will might send you just the binary.

1) Copy the program folder to your desktop.
2) Go back to the program folder and click uninstall.

You will now have all the necessary files sitting in the folder on your desktop.

I'm ok with sending people a non-install binary if they already have .NET 3.5 SP1, I just want to avoid it causing confusion for some people since a no-install version wouldn't tell them that they need .NET 3.5 SP1.
