If you get an advertisement on a SMEGAPHONE, be sure to ignore it, it would say:
From that fucking bitch who scammed me said:
Go to our website, log in from there, and play MapleStory from our website! 25k NX will be added to your account
I had 37m mesos, and it's all gone, became 100k mesos.
My MS friend on Skype told me:
My friend and I had made a code word long time ago, just to recognize each other. If I say Rapes, my friend has to answer by saying that it is the best thing a woman can get. My friend had used that code word.

Again, don't fall for it.

So many people did, lol.
I can't believe I fell for that, I whispered the person, to give me a guarantee that it'll work. I bet he got one of his group members to actually guarantee me, and I believed him.

When people online guarantee things, it doesn't mean shit. I've had people swear their first born sons to me, didn't stop me from saying fuck off. I feel a bit bad for you. I feel like you'd be the one who'd believe that you won a mysterious fortune from your great great granduncle in Nigeria... :P No offense, of course. :D

I remember Maplestory. Does the piece of shit still install a rootkit onto your system? Either way, I had an account long ago, wouldn't be surprised if I got this. Wait, isn't this what the spam bucket is for?

Rootkit? What are you talking about?

This reminds me, I need to log into my MapleStory account and start playing again.

I just don't get it why people so excited when they see spam/ads giving you something for free with requirement inserting your credit card/username/password.

if they are willing to give something for your digital toons, all they need is your character names, that's it.
anything require beyond that is scammer most of time.

also the publishers usually just send their offering through email.
sometimes I just don't understand why it's so hard for people not falling for this trick?

In all fairness mate I fell for the same sort of thing back when I was about your age, maybe a year or two older.

Luckily I didn't get hacked. I tried to log in to what claimed to be an in-browser version of the game that had hacks built into it. It would never log in. I ended up changing my password without ever an issue shortly thereafter.

Never played Maple Story but I'm pretty sure the T&C and official literature will warn you against doing exactly this kind of thing. But as the old saying goes: You can't cheat an honest man...
