Hacking Want to make smallest NAND possible

I'm deleting as much stuff as possible off my NAND. I'm wanting to delete some IOSs. If I would use a USB loader and have all the games boot with cIOS, could I delete the factory IOSs without harming gameplay ability? In other words, when a usb loader boots a game with a cIOS, does it still use the other IOSs to run the game or not?

why do u want to delete ios's? It's not going to free up space for u to use for save files or channels or anything like that

but to answer ur Q, no, usb loaders only use the one cios it is launched with and that's it

oh i see.
do delete some until you got a brick nand. then restore the last you deleted.

make one from scratch with showmiinand, cios dont work with sneek (yet) and add anything needed from existing nand dump, read sneek faq.

Deleting IOS is going to make it faster? I could see eliminating channels from the system menu, but IOS?

Additionally to the files mentioned you will need IOS35.

I believe that making a nand from nusd/showmiiwads is faster than a nand dump where you delete stuff. I think this is because everything remains clean, whereas if you delete stuff uid.sys retains some information related to the deleted titles.

For a SNEEK NAND youneed the following and nothing more:
1. Systemmenu, e.g. v290 is 3.2E (get from NUSD)
2. Systemmenu IOS (non-STUB) (must be the one required by 1 above, e.g. IOS30 for 3.2) (get from NUSD)
3. setting.txt (placed in SD:/title/00000001/00000002/data/setting.txt) (must match region of systemmenu) (get from a NAND dump)
NOTE: with this set up it:
WILL give you a black screen for up to five minutes before it goes to first time set up.
WILL give you a black screen for up to five minutes between the health screen and showing you the system menu.
This is for the first time only. After that it will be fast.

Well, wilsoffs configuration might boot, but adding IOS35 isn't a big deal compared what it gives to you.
It will be used to emulate All IOS below IOS30.
