Going to dell outlet can save about 30% off the price by getting a refurbished one. Make sure you get refurbished and not scratch and dent and use some of the savings on getting a better warranty. They also have coupons once a month with an additional 10-15% off. Buying parts from all over the place that have all sorts of failure rates and differing return polices instead of sticking to just one vendor can increase hassles during the lifetime of the machine. Though this might not be an issue for yourself.
