Gaming Walkthrough for Super Mario 'The Other P'

hi dont know if it is a bug or not but on level 5-6 we cannot get past the boss after hittin it twice it disappears and there'sjust a bouncy ball? and it stays like that we have to kill ourselves to get off the level thus not completing it!

Any ideas thank you
