[[ Perhaps on your machine you have the C:\WADDER\ files, but they are not given out in the installer. Probably just a few hardcoded filepaths remaining in the code ]]
The filepaths are ALL hardcoded to C:\wadder\ (because filepaths with spaces don't work, i made sure that it would). The installer creates this folder, and everything MUST stay there. Did you run the installer as an administrator?

Doesn't work with the way im launching the BAT file, and not hard-coding it would take lots of more stuff that I don't have time for.WB3000 said:icefireicefire said:The filepaths are ALL hardcoded to C:\wadder\ (because filepaths with spaces don't work, i made sure that it would). Yes, I'm pretty sure. Running Windows 7 here.
Have you tried adding "quotes" around filepaths with spaces? That should make them work. Whenever I've dealt with calling programs via commands, I've usually had "s added to each filepath, and its worked.![]()

VISTA/WINDOWS 7 USERS: try running it as an administrator!

I just tried running the installer as admin. It seems to work for awhile, but during the process, I get 'filename is not valid' errors with 'LogoChan.tpl'. Now that I'm reading it, it seems that everything is good, but the first letter of the filepath is missing, there's no 'C', it starts as ':\wadder'.
After the error, the program paused at the save file dialog, where I added the C, and it finished smoothly.
I'm glad my first release ever is getting such a good reception!macmel said:icefireicefire,
Hats off to you, a few days ago, I told djdynamite and the others on the #002 Error thread that I am envious of them on how fast they do the WADS and promised myself that I'll be learning on how to do the WADS. I went on & search for a tutorial then luckily I saw you on the other thread you started (which you have only 4 post then) talking about this WADder thing.
You are heaven sent. To top it all, you uploaded it to mediafire (no need for me to make extra request / as before it was uploaded to rapidshare-which is almost next to impossible for me to download from)
Thank you very much, your work is very much appreciated.
May you have a very very Merry ChristmasTears of joy.![]()

I believe if you replace the base.wad with your own wad renamed to that you could update it...QUOTE said:As other's have requested, it would be great if we could inject into an already exsisting wad with this. To say, update channels with new releases of HB.
no, won't workkitt050383 said:I believe if you replace the base.wad with your own wad renamed to that you could update it...QUOTE said:As other's have requested, it would be great if we could inject into an already exsisting wad with this. To say, update channels with new releases of HB.
-kitt050383
don't hold me to that though....

There basicly isn't a RISK at all, i tested the earlier releases, not one bad .wad even IF ITS NOT PACKED CORRECTLY it will install, BUT the channel becomes "hidden, WHILST BEEN CORRUPT"QUOTE said:Btw, your download link just got removed because the common-key is copyrighted.
did i tell you that in PM? should of put the common key in another set of zips hehe
or next release...TELL others need to find their OWN COMMON KEY, that's how allot of programs say it now, instructions requires a common-key etc,![]()
QUOTENo, there is almost no risk. It resizes the images and such to the correct sizes.
Just don't touch the computer while it is going.
It does? Oh that's awesome.
So no touching the computer. Gots it. *makes WAD. touches CD drive in process, distributes said WAD*
