Hacking Wad Manager???

My Wii's 4.0u, i have homebrew i think i have a file for wad manager 1.7. Everytime i put the file (.dol file) inside the apps folder on my SD, and activate the homebrew, nothing appears on the screen except for the background of homebrew. Is this the correct Wad manager for wii 4.0u?
If it is, why doesn't it work?

It's boot.dol?

If not rename it to boot.dol

you put the dol in a subfolder inside the apps folder
like: SD:/apps/wadmanager/boot.dol.

And yes, it must be named boot.dol or it won't work.

Another problem, I suppose you guys know about Black Ops, the update requires u to go to the Wii Shop Channel for an update, but if its not even offered where i live, how do i do so?
