Hacking WAD Manager USB Help!!!

i just got a 2gb mp3 player with a usb dongle on it. i thought that i could use it to install WADS, as its a usb mass storage device. once i press 2 to load from a usb MSD, i get a code dump! the wad is in the right folder (wad). i tryed connecting to usb port 1 and 2 and still nothing! anything that yuo guys may know about the problem?

EDIT: I think i know whats the problem, its FAT32, gotta format it in FAT16.

i formated it in FAT16, and still a CODE DUMP!!!!!!!

i guess its back to to sd card

Try formatting to FAT. I did that, worked like a charm.

You have to insert a SD card to use the USB.
It says so on the website that it'll be corrected in future versions.

the usb device has to have a sd card in it for it to load. my mp3 player dosent have a sd card slot, damn!

There would have to be an SD card in the front SD slot of the Wii already. Otherwise where else would the WadManager be loading from ? It's not like the HBC will read from anything else.

And FAT or FAT32 doesn't make a difference, I'm using a FAT32 formatted 120gig HD and it works perfectly.

How about there needs to be a wad directory on the SD card in the front SD slot ?

Yeah, Wiiload, DVD ISO(for bricks) don't need a SD inserted, but it NEEDS one because of that bug.

What type ofUSB mass storage are you using?

Not all usb drives are supported.
For example, Paradox's DS-X (ds xtreme flash cart) is a usb drive, but is not supported with the wad manager. There is a compatibility list up on wiibrew, just do a search for "usb".

It's not the hardware... it's just you.

Read the previous posts. Make sure the device is formatted to FAT, the SD card needs a WAD folder, and the storage device needs a WAD folder.

Also, not every device can be mounted as a mass storage device.

i know, dumbass. its formatted in FAT, theres a folder called WAD, i tryed both the usb ports.

Btw, if it helps, my USB is a 2GB Magnavox MP3 Player that i got a few days ago.
