I'm using IOS236 to go into a USB Mass Storage Device but it is throwing a ret = -2. What is a -2?

It works on my WD Passport but it doesn't work on my Seagate HDD.

Both have the same files and are partitioned the same...

Both my drives have "wad" in them and not "wads"

I'm thinking the harddrive is just too slow or something. I'll try the USB Loader GX's Wad installer.

Nevermind...you can only install it to Emunand....I guess I'll just have to use the other hard drive......

I guess the Seagate Free Agent hard drive is not compatible with Wad Manager 1.7

I usually use MMM but if Wad Manager has an option to load a different IOS try your d2x one (like 249.)

I tried 50 236 249 and 250 and fail lol. It works on my other hard drive :( Might be a harddrive compatibility issue

Maybe it's not formatted correctly? Did you format it the same way you formatted the drive that works?

I figured it out. I looked at the hard drives USB and it is a blue 3.0...I don't think wad manager works with USB 3.0. I think I'm gonna try MMM or whatever that is

Hahahaha MMM 13.4 doesn't work either.

Its great how USB Loader GX's Wad manager works. It would make sense because USB Loader GX can read from USB 3.0. More props to USB Loader GX!

Homebrew Browser can read off of it too lol

I just bought a USB 2.0 cable for my hard drive. It works now!!! The problem was with the USB 3.0 cable!

Strange, it shouldn't matter what cable you use since the extra USB 3.0 pins aren't connected to anything on the Wii side, so it should effectively work as a USB 2.0 cable.

I'm not sure how these cables work but the tests showed that sata to USB micro-b to USB 3.0 did not work. Sata to mini-USB to USB 2.0 works.

It might have a problem with the Wii not producing enough power for the USB 3.0 cable? I dunno :)
