Isn't WAD Manager 1.3 capable of installing wads from a USB HDD? When I choose USB Mass Storage Device in the menu, I get this:

Code:
Initializing libfat, please wait... ok!
Retrieving device contents, please wait... ERROR! (ret = -1)

I have a folder in the root called wad with the wads in it. The USB HDD I'm using is FAT32 and works in other apps such as MPlayerCE and FTPii. Any idea?

Try Channel File Manager 2.0 beta4. It actually works with SDHC cards and USB devices (FAT16/FAT32 only, not NTFS/ext2/etc). Not only that, but it has USB 2.0 support.

I confirm that Wad manager 1.3 is not working with sdhc 4go
I tried with Sandisk, kingston and no brand all error -1
i tried a mini sdhc 4 go kingston same -1
I tried in usbkey mirco SD and load them as USB massstorage... -1

I tried in memorystick 1Go and 16 Mo
16 Mo as FAT 12, FAT 16... in usb reader as mass storage error -1 again...

After a long search I just found this :

WAD Manager 1.3 originally made by Waninkoko

Modded by WiiPower to:
- use the newer libogc version(december 2008 and up)*
- return to loader instead of restarting the Wii
- show the version and revision of the used IOS
- added libpng.a to the folder, which is required at devkitPro\libogc\lib\wii

* now only the internal SD slot and the 1st usb storage device are supported

There is a link to it below

It is working ! no more -1 error

Illinois is working to ban toxic food additives that have been banned for decades in other countries; additives that can be replaced and all those countries still have Skittles and Mountain Dew. Title of the piece: GUBMINT WANTS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR CANDY

@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Arsenic doesn't give you cancer either.

California has already banned those additives BTW.

Mame should be two sets one for preservation of everything and one set for people who just want to play and enjoy the old old ganes
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Psionic Roshambo, Shouldn't preservation be legal tho?

I swear like 99% of arcade games wouldn't even exist these days outside of MAME the arcade machines are old and busted very few ever saw any sort of home conversion

We get 37 versions of Super Mario Bros but 0 of Beast Busters

@Psionic Roshambo, There's a lot of obscure Japanese arcade titles that are either lost to time or dumped.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean if a company could use AI to do the work of a home conversion for essentially free why not? The rights for some games are completely lost though
