You should be able to uninstall it by using the Twilight Princess Hack, the Uninstall ELF 1.1, and have the uninstall channel WAD on your SD card, which should get rid of everything, including the ticket.

Though it wasn't really a good idea for the member to bump such an old post, at the very least it would be a good idea to answer their question.

You would install this channel by putting it under /wad and installing it with a Wad manger through the homebrew channel. However, I very highly recommend you simply use WAD Manager and not WAD installer. WAD manager is a program that allows you to uninstall or install WADs listed under the root directory. WAD Installer is a more primitive version that existed before this. It finds everything under your /wad directory and installs it. That's it. If you have a lot of files here, this could prove to be a problem, potentially filling up all your channels or maxing your NAND memory, causing your system to become laggy and potentially brick.

If you want a channel version, I suggest you get a .dol forwarder channel. This will install on your system menu, and redirect itself to the .dol located on your SD card for the WAD Manager (which I think would be found under X:/apps/WADManager/boot.dol). You get the same program, but whenever you want to update the WAD Manager, you will be able to do so by replacing the .dol located on the SD card instead of having to uninstall the channel and install a new one. This proves to be more memory efficient as the .dol itself is not stored on your Wii NAND either. Besides, most forwarders nowadays have very nice menu screens and look great on the system menu, as opposed to this old channel, which has a black screen and that's it.

For recommendations on which forwarder to use, I suggest TroytheZombie's. His the only I know that has sound and animations...don't take this as "it's the only one with fancy stuff", Troy's work is very good and I'm glad to have some of his channels on my Wii system menu.

EDIT: My bad, I forgot all about answering the Twilight Hack question.

To install this, you would need a method of loading the Homebrew application. So yes, you could use the Twilight Hack if you are on system menu 3.4 or below. For 4.0 or below users, you could use Bannerbomb, which is recommended as you've not any need for a Wii game. Just an SD card and that's it. There's hundreds of tutorials on both loaders, and I'll leave it to you to Google them. I suggest you use them to install The Homebrew Channel, however I'll leave this up to you. If you'd much rather not install the HBC, and just this application, then use Bannerbomb or TH to load WAD Manager to install a forwarder. If you would like to install the HBC, then do so through Bannerbomb or TH and run WAd Manager through there.

you will not want this channel, find or make one based on wadmanager 1.4 this is too old. Also no need for this to be a channel, just use HBC, how often do you need to install a wad!

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha

@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
