Hacking vWii hacking & 5.5.3

Hey guys. In the sticked post. There's a vWii hacking guide which says if you're on ver 5.5.2 or above, you can't do method 1 because of a patched browser exploit. It has been a few years since that was made. Does that still apply? I don't want to do in-game exploits and I don't have a standard 2GB SD card.

Little question, do i need to backup my nand again? i already backed it up when modding normal wii

Little question, do i need to backup my nand again? i already backed it up when modding normal wii (i'm asking because i don't have enough space on my pc for another 20 something gb of nand backup)
Edit: somehow this uploaded twice, also should i replace payload.elf or keep it the way it is?

yes, they're different systems. the vwii nand is only 528MBs.
