Hacking vWii Game Loader Problem

I know this mite be an OLD problem, I am trying to get Metroid Trilogy: Prime 3 to work, Primes 1,2 start and play fine but when trying to load 3, just a black screen freeze. I am using CFG loader v70r78. Anyone with any answer plz message back....thanks.

No, you must use the vWii cios installer https://code.google.com/p/d2x-cios/downloads/detail?name=d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii.zip&can=2&q=

Now we install d2x cIOS:

6.) Launch d2x cIOS installer from the Homebrew Channel.

7.) Choose which d2x cIOS version you want to install, beta52 or beta53-alt.
If you don´t plan to use EmuNAND, i recommend beta53-alt.
Note: For info about the differences between beta52 & beta53-alt click here.

8.) Select cIOS : <d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii> (Alternative: beta52)
Select cIOS base : <56>
Select cIOS slot : <249>

9.) Press A to install and wait for installation to finish.

10.) Press A to continue.

11.) Select cIOS : <d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii> (Alternative: beta52)
Select cIOS base : <57>
Select cIOS slot : <250>

12.) Press A to install and wait for installation to finish.

13.) Press A to continue.

14.) Select cIOS : <d2x-v10-beta53-alt-vWii> (Alternative: beta52)
Select cIOS base : <58>
Select cIOS slot : <251>

you have a bad rip....there's a bad rip of MPT floating around the interwebs that behaves in exactly that manor.

this is not an alt dol problem as the reddit link addresses. nor is it a cIOS problem on your rmachine. when that rip was dumped, the homebrew app used to dump it was running on cIOS which had dual layer disc support broken (i forget the version--maybe waninko's v10)...that is where the problem is. get a new dump of the game.

Where can I find a working version of the game? Cuz I tried the Ciso installer but its not the normal boot. files so a lil confused.

...i dunno....at a place similar to where you got the broken one. ...or dump it from the MPT disc you legitly purchased/rented (if that's possible anymore)....

i was in the same spot you were in at one time....but i can't help you get an unbroken one; forum rules.

also: if you use the 'beginner's guide' sticky about modding vwii, there's a much better link to a more complete vwii cios installer which includes the beta10 modules in the correct folder paths....though that won't fix MPT.

Now my last question is how to get Monster Hunter Tri to work getting the the black screen with buzzing sound after selecting Start/Begin Game. I've seen other forums how to fix it but that was for the Wii and trying to get it fix for Wii U/vWii. Just being careful....thats all.
