If you want to use the FTP server by select you need to first go into the settings and toggle it from USB to FTP. I was waiting ages for it to activate FTP until I tried that :)

Sweet! Glad the USB support has finally made it's debut into end-user's hands! :D

I can't help but notice though that it runs the USB connection in Safe Mode (lack of some select folders when in ux0: on the PC)... I hope there will be an update to allow access to those hidden folders!
(And yes, I have Unsafe Mode turned on already, on the Vita)

Still, hats off to TheFloW for definite! He's made a tremendous amount of work on VitaShell, and I'm glad to see it is continuing to progress very nicely! :yaypsp:

According to TheFloW's twitter, you have to enable 'Hide protected operating system files' on Windows to see all folders.

Anyone test the speed of this yet? Curious to see how quickly transfers actually are via USB like this. Don't have my Vita on-hand or I'd test it myself :P

Huh, it's already enabled for me... o.O

Well, just grabbed my Vita and tried it out. Works nice, pretty speedy which is about what I expected based on QCMA transfer speeds. Do have a problem though.

Anyone else having troubles installing VPKs after updating to 1.50? Tried a couple different VPKs (one homebrew, one game backup) and they don't seem to do anything, it just sits at the Installing... screen with 0%. I've let it sit for over 5 minutes (which is infinitely longer than a 3mb homebrew should take to install) and nothing changes. If I cancel the transfer, it seems to get stuck and accepts no input. I can't move through the file browser or select anything, can't bring up the VitaShell settings, can't even use the Home button to go back (it displays the red cross symbol). It doesn't seem like VitaShell itself is freezing, because the clock still works and the battery indicator still works, but I can't do anything else.

I can bring up the quick settings and bring up the power off menu but that's about it  I have to power off to get back into the device.

Molecular Shell installs the VPKs fine, so I also know it's not them.

Maybe Vitashell 1.5 ditched VPKs for folder installs? https://twitter.com/theflow0/status/819593180471500801
