Hello everyone!

I hope to be posting in the right place eventually sorry if this is not a post strictly about database. Also sorry if I could not check all 350+ pages and this problem already appeared in someone’s question (but I did try without luck with search).

I have a 3.60 (HENkaku) running on a Vita 1100 (JP), SD2VITA 128gb.

I used to run 3.65 and downgraded with modoru to 3.60. For what I remember I installed PS VitaCheat only after the downgrade and I had only used it with one title without any problem (adventure of mana).

Today I tried to use it again with Guacamelee and the cheats were not working. I supposed it was about random problems about game version or such but then I realized that except for adventure of mana the cheats were non working with any title (all NTSC US except few JP exceptions).

Here comes the thing: I noticed that despite I installed with Autoplugin II VitaCheat 3.60 Z04, the skin appearing pressing L1+RIGHT says PS VitaCheats 3.65 Z05 (which is not even present in Autoplugin II list, only 3.60z04 and 3.65z06).

I checked in vita shell and in the ur0:tai/ folder the vita cheat file (vitacheat360.skprx) seems in order. Also in the SD the ux0:vitacheat/ folder seems ok.

Any idea of what to do and how to deal with this problem? I read that the Autoplugin II installation was the safest, should I try a manual one?

There many reasons why codes not work.

1. Codes do not work for the game with version xx
2. Codes are not static (CRAP)
3. Codes are only for Vita cheat z06
4. The user does not know how to activate codes.
5. will definitely come ...
6.User doesnt use update-codes
7.Codes are not/yes for maidump games
8.place holder
And so on... there are many reasons...

Note;
Vita-Cheat z06 works only on FW3.65+

I don’t know if you read my post and your message was to me. As I mentioned I installed 3.60 z04 (checked through shell as well as I wrote) that is why I am surprised by this 3.65 z05 appearing in the skin.

I wanted to know if it was a known bug and if there are any fixes or suggestions.

what you need is FW 3.65 only then you can install final cheat z06.
I have little experience with this autopluging 2.
But I can imagine that Autoplugin2 refuses to install Vita-Cheat z06 if your FW is smaller than 3.65
or it doesn't show you Vita cheat z06 in the menu

I think you may be right about database but it is still weird that the wrong version of the plugin appears in the skin of VitaCheat (even more with that z05) unless those info as well are reported in some config file in the VitaCheat folder (in that case it would make sense).

Anyhow, thanks for your suggestions. Tomorrow I will try a manual installation and eventually I’ll consider update to 3.65.

Yeah the downgrade was a thing of a couple of years ago. I think at that time 3.65 was running not great with cfw or something like that. I will look into upgrading (I am also having internet problem which I think are related to the fw so upgrade seems just the beat way to go).
