Hey there, haven't dabbled in Sony hacking in a while. I ask for a friend, in order to hack a vita, what would the requirements be. Is there an easiest model or just grab anything? Vita, Slim, Tv?

Memory cards, firmware, any and all information for current methods would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all!

The only thing required is a Vita on 3.60 (all brand new OLEDs and PSTVs are guaranteed to be on 3.60 or lower, all Slims sans 2 new colors from JP are guaranteed to be on 3.60 or lower) and like 10mb or so of space on a memory card. If you have a Vita Slim/PSTV, you can use the 1GB internal storage to install Henkaku (so you don't need a memory card for those).

Other than that, there's nothing else really "required".

One last question, if we get a system that's less than 3.60, is there a way to update it to 3.60, or is there extra steps? Apologies, but I've never even held a Vita myself, gotta ask these things. Thanks for your current info btw!

It's very easy, follow the noob guide that is stickied.
