I don't think any games out there that has no violence at all is fun enough to even bother playing.
Even simple games like Super Mario would suck without violence. Instead of stomping the Goombas, you'd have to press the action button to shake their hands (evolution is a possibility), then they go on their way home.

And I assume you would then meet Bowser and negotiate with him over a cup of tea to return the princess.

While they waste time on this, they could be fixing gun laws.

There's already too many gun laws.

How about parents start looking at the ESRB rating on the game cover. How many young kids to you hear playing an "M" rated multiplayer like COD?

Kids in the 50's watched violent cowboy & Indians movies and even role played they were violent cowboys and Indians. How come they didn't go on killing sprees back then?

I think it's mostly because now parents are too overprotective and try to shield their kids from everything.

The negotiations could be over a cup of tea or during the weekly book club meeting.
Honestly considering the amount of sport and kart games they appear in that weekly club is probably already a thing. In fact, have a relevant image.
