I am currently using an HP a1012x desktop and my AGP videocard just hit the dust.

I am looking for a new videocard on a budget for low to mid gaming.

This is the motherboard I am using http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...;product=465196

I'm not sure if it's compatible with a pci-e card I was looking at http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1558

Do I have to look for an AGP card, or can I use another type, or any card suggestions?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.

Nope. You have to use an AGP card.

To use a PCI-e card, you'd have to change the entire motherboard.

A GeForce 6200 or a Radeon X1650 should be a good card.

You can find a lot of AGP cards with prices on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....amp;Order=PRICE.

Enjoy

Thank you so much for the help.

I was using a PNY GeForce FX 5700 VE

Do you know what card is a good choice and better than it and worth the money?
