Well that was a point i was making, if someone was strictly updating wiki or guides, along with exploits or new cfw updates, then the idea of any inconsistency wouldn't exist. But then someone would have to know exactly what the people are doing with these changes to actually know what to update and provide pictures (or moving gif) for to add changes to the information. Most people work independently which is the real shame here and nightly aren't official so the updates on that wouldn't be added until is in the official releases.
You're not wrong. I know the nightlies aren't official but that doesn't stop everyone from telling people to use the Luma updater vs doing it manually and only installing stable releases. Hence why I always tell them it causes more harm than good, for sake of bugs and changing structures not reported. I digress though, there are always going to be dummies. You can only do so much in lieu of common sense. :D

Well, can't help everyone, especially people who don't accept it or seek it. Is just how people are, is only funny until someone gets hurt, is only a stubborn person until someone breaks their game and then decide to blame others rather than ask for assistance from a more knowledgeable person. Either way is not our problem that they ignore risk of such things and do what they want. Either way, if someone wanted to make a separate guide or wiki for unofficial builds of luma or anything for that matter, due to the fact is unofficial and receive more updates than Team fortress 2 it would be nightmare to manage and continue updating unlike official builds. So that is just a matter of who is crazy enough to wanna do that?

What's the recommended way of installing CIAs after this procedure? I tried running the latest FBI.3dsx from the homebrew launcher and it gave an error message about needing a kernel backdoor. Then I enabled the ARM 9 patch in Luma, and after that, FBI just hangs when trying to launch it.

Edit: Answering my own question...

Don't use video guides.... if you followed https://3ds.guide you'll see that you are supposed to install FBI.cia and not access FBI through homebrew.
