There's no discussion about games, only arguments. Shows how sensitive people are when it comes to their beloved past time. That's fine with me, but I'm not going to participate. I just wish games were actually "games" again, not cinematic presentations emphasizing graphics and storytelling, with a few button presses in between to advance to the next cutscene. Or any sort of gimmicky challenges because the devs can't think of anything that actually fits into the gameplay.
For anyone who thinks I was attacking Nintendo, that's not what I'm doing at all. Nintendo is simply the only company who continues to keep progressing as far as gameplay goes, and still releases fun games. I just think it's ridiculous how they've abandoned Metroid, F-Zero, Waverace, and other franchises in favor of the stuff they've been focusing on lately.
And on the other hand, developers are pumping out interactive, repetitive, murder simulators for the other consoles.
It's bland and boring these days. There is little to know challenge anymore to make a game fun. Pretty much all of the emphasis is put on presentation.
