Hacking Video converters

Just want to know what's the best before I go and use some converter that doesn't work. PSP Slim, btw, just in case it matters.

You can stream all kinds of video files using PiMPStreamer... but if not, I'm pretty sure there are several programs out there that let you play other video files apart from .mp4

Personally, for my iPod, I use Videora iPod Converter... but I'm not sure if iPod videos and PSP videos run the same. I know they are the same format...
