Hi guys/gals. First of all im extremely new to switch, in fact its my first Nintendo console since gameboy.. i only bought it due to lets go being released but quickly found the CFW and homebrew scene and got hooked.. Id like to think i was technically minded. I have a switch running latest atmosphere with what i believe to be a genuine 128gb sandisk class 10 sd.. I can copy nsp's to it and most of the time they install fine, then ill get one or 2 that just totally refuse to install and others that will install but give a blank tile on home screen with the dots spinning. Now i know these to be working as ive actually had them installed before from the same files. Could this be sign of bad SD card? i dont have another to test and dont really want to buy another if mines fine..

Now is there any way i can back my current SD card setup up to my laptop for example.. format it and drag and drop it all back on? when i did that before it literally corrupted everything i had installed, if there is a way i can do this i can just simply test my sd card and find out if thats the issue.

Just a little info on the console and setup:

Brand new 1 week old switch 6.2.0 with atmosphere 0.8.1 (got lucky didn't even know about CFW and newer HW Revisions before i purchased it)
128GB Sandisk Class 10 Micro SD Formatted as Ex-Fat With latest files from SD Setup
Using NS-Atmosphere Payload launcher 95% of the time rekado when i cant find or dont have the dongle with me.

Any help really is appreciated, sorry if i broke any rules.. i did try search but couldn't find a similar issue.

This is probably a corruption issue. Uninstall any failing app on the Switch with the Switch software management, delete your NSP on the SD card, save the content of the SD card on your PC, format your SD card (the option to format in the Switch system menu does the job), copy everything back, copy your NSP backup on the SD card (the original one, since you should have already deleted the corrupted one), then try to reinstall it again. Rinse and repeat. exFAT is very prone to corruption for big files, but since the NSP installation split the file into 4 GB NCA files, when moving the Nintendo folder it has less chance of corrupting the files than moving the NSP file.

I have the same issue from time to time. For instance, I had to install DOOM.nsp 4 time before it worked...
Huge files are frequently corrupted while copying, whatever you do (less frequent when I use W10 than Ubuntu 18 to manage files, but still)

Three advices though:
- the software "devmenu" is your friend: it can detect a defective NSP files before installing it, it saved me countless time
- XCI are not as troublesome, try to use when you can
- have fun :)
