I want to buy a 4GB MicroSD for my CycloDS and I found the "VERBATIM Micro Secure Digital Card 4GB, MICRO SECURE DIGITAL HC Class 6 / 4GB MIN. READ 4MB/SEC (27x), MIN. WRITE 4MB/SEC (13x)". Is this a good choice?

What can you recommend?

Class 6 is the best but I don't know any other characteristics to help though...

I could also get a "SanDisk GSM micro SD HC 4GB" or "Transcend Micro SD HCCard 4GB" for the same price.

What does the class determine?

class determines how fast the read and write speed of the card will be. class 6 is the best, class 4 is in the middle, and class 2 is the lowest.

Thanks. In that case I should be good with the Class 6 Verbatim, right? How do class 6 cards perform in comparison to the Kingston 1GB (Japan)? How do "problem games" like Castlevania run on them?

not sure about in comparison to a Kingston but a class 4 and 6 should run the majority of games just fine. class 2 cards can be a little iffy depending on the card but they should work as well.

as for POR even on the best card you will get slowdowns as the retail cart has them too, however class 4 and 6 cards would be your best bet to better help prevent freezing.

Class 6 cards are definitely faster than any non-SDHC card, but I've never heard of the Verbatim brand before, and the brand makes a lot of difference.

yes the card reader should read sdhc, as for the class rating for that micro sdhc, I would have to guess that it is a 4 since it isn't listed on the site what class it is.

it is a shame I can't recommend newegg to you or id give you a link to the micro sdhc I picked up.
the micro sdhc brand I have is an A-Data class 6 4GB turbo card. works like a charm for me. maybe you could find a store that has it in Europe (I haven't had any luck yet)
