Wait. Are you saying I can inject NES ROMs into GBC VC? If I can, can I also inject them to GB VC? :O
NES and GB(C) VC is cross compatible. You can even inject GBA games. (GBA is really slow though.) Also, side note... Update your HANS to the latest version. You don't need to use a hex editor with it! :P

Tried injecting Sonic Chaos to Sonic Triple Trouble (same ROM sizes), and it crashed. Just in case, how about putting mdfTools in the first post? (For genesis/megadrive and gamegear roms, use mdfCompressor from mdfTools to compress rom.)

i have a question do you jsut drag your .gb or .gbc rom into the rom folder in the rom fs cause when i do that it does not replace the game

I was referring to not having to strip with a hex editor anymore. Also, I am the OP :P
DERP and ahh i just saw his twitter.

for GB VC you can replace the rom and name it wtf ever you want (well really w/ GB/GBC and NES) but NES VC Hosts you can have multiple Roms. the file extension doesnt matter. can be .fuc for all the emu cares. just while you can inject NES in GBC and visa verse even GBA (albeit running stupid slow AGB thats used in these isnt the same for whats used in the ambassador GBA titles) GB must be w/ GB it's the only exception. (that and NES roms must be converted to tnes format.)

i tried that im using lasted hans and it says save courrpted and it freezes when clearing save data when i boot it with hans vc game im using is golf its the only one i have and golf does have a save feature so idk why its not working

If I remember correctly, I think that particular version of the tnes converter doesn't support certain mappers, and unfortunately Tengen Tetris and other unlicensed NES games seem to fall under those unsupported mappers.

Does anyone know if there's a newer version of the tnes converter that would work with this?

I had a club nintndo version of Donkey Kong GB VC. I succesfully injected pokemon yellow and red. Thanks for the tutorial. :)

can some one help me it freezes when resetting save data im using golf vc its only one i got and the eshop spoffer could be patched so i can't get another one

there isnt really any point of doing this since all the nes and GBC roms run at full speed at the retroarch emulators in old3ds with no kernel hack

I don't know what nes emulator you are using that it is full speed. Injecting SMB3mix into NES VC was the best decision so far for homebrew on my DS. N's official emulator is the best one in my opnion xD

using the retroarch nes emulator

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

At least we dont have to hexedit the modified rom files anymore for use with hans since smea released an updated version of hans
