I haven't gone through all of the pages, so sorry if this was answered somewhere else, but is this able to be done on an o3ds? I am randomizing my Ultra Moon and I want there to be wild megas so the patch to not revert them I would love to have, if I am able to do this on an o3ds.

Yes, it is.

I have a question about the inverse patch. Does it also alter the shiny rate? This was the only new patch I used along with others so I feel like this may be the cause, but during my playthrough of Ultra Sun, I've encountered 5 shinies randomly, not through SOS chaining at all too. I tried to see if it was altered by disabling patching but I got bored and ran out of patience. To encounter 5 shinies randomly is just too much of a lucky streak for me, leading me to question what was up.

it seems like that.... @Windylacine you edited the code.bin without revert the shiny rate. so ips that you generated, it contains shiny rate tweak too.

remove selected part would fix the problem.

The ones I'm running I have done so in other games with no altering of the shiny rate.

DisableNFC
InstMessage
NoOutLine
NoQRScanCD
PCAnyWhere
QuickHatch
SciresM'sQR
WalkSpeed1.375.

Maybe I was just lucky.

Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I have game patching enabled, I put the code.ips file in the right location, but when I load my Ultra Moon up I get a ARM11 exception error

Edit: Never mind it seems taking out the boosted movement speed stopped it from crashing

Weird, I didn't notice that when I tested inversed type ips, I guess that merges with customized shiny rate automatically in Pk3DS where I generated it from, thanks for pointing it out, Was it fixed?

The warp hole
make sure you'd have to put cro file into the luma/titles/(titleID)/romfs and edit it.

Did you use Hex editor commands? holding A button hightlights any hex values in red plus pressing D-pad up/down to change the hex value, once it's done, it promotes you to write the new changes into the cro file.

@Ericjwg USUM got updated to 1.1, breaking all the patches unfortunately. The game crashes when I load them up.
As this is confirmation of what I posted last week, I'm posting my warning again:
Warning: a new patch for USUM comes out this month, according to both Bulbapedia and Serebii. If you wish to continue using the patches, don't update your game until you get confirmation that the patches work with the update.
