Trying to use uStealth and when I try and use it the status of the drive doesn't change within the program and the drive isn't hidden. This is very annoying as I would like to be able to change and or add custom cover art for certain games but only when the drives not formatted to WBFS so im a little confused here and need so help, thanks.

Plug in your hdd to your computer, wait for the device connected sound, run Ustealth, double click HDD. If it gives you an error after using it, press the refresh icon in the bottom right of UStealth.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but it’s generally a good practice to use MBR instead of GPT for your disk. I’ve had problems with GPT myself.

I recovered the same Problem on my Desktop PC with Windows 10 latest build. If i plug the hdd in and run U
uStealth, there is a Problem with (un-)hidding the drive. So i needed a different solution.

I tried this aswell but then usb loader gx and WUP installer gx2 still don't see or recognize the drive... Not sure why it won't work. There was also a uStealth for home-brew menu but when I tried to use it wasn't in the menu and I couldn't figure that out.

I think hidden usb drives don’t work with usbloadergx, try wiiflow lite instead, and wup installer gx2 doesn’t support installing from usb, you know USBHide worked if the wii u doesn’t ask you to format it in the wii u menu

For sure, gx loader supports hidden drives by uStealth. Newer ones have this support implemented. Depends on the used version

By the way, WUP installer is for installing WiiU games only on a wbfs formated harddrive by WiiU. It doesnt should recognize other drives like for gx loader. And gx loader doesnt work with WiiU formated drives.
So you cant mix them up with one drive.
U need two drives (vWii -> fat32, WiiU -> wbfs). If both are plugged in, Wup installer may stuck at wrong hdd. So unplug the vWii hdd first.

yeah, usb loader gx is my preferred backup launcher, and it does support hidden drives. I think it has even since @Cyan was developing it, so it's been many years.

did you try to edit the drive hidden state only on computer ?
It's highly possible that your computer, or antivirus, is blocking MBR or GPT edition and revert it. it can be seen as a virus trying to alter your drive.

Did you try tools directly on your console ?
Like XploitU suggested, you can try this "WiiU homebrew" : https://apps.fortheusers.org/wiiu/USBHide https://gbatemp.net/threads/612871/
be sure to unplug any WiiU HDD when trying, just to be sure.
or
this "Wii homebrew" (in vWii mode, or on a real Wii) : USBToggle, from the Ustealth original thread first post https://gbatemp.net/attachments/usb_toggle-zip.9038/ https://gbatemp.net/threads/ustealth-wii-u-format-disk-nag-workaround.352786/

@Xpl0itU didn't know your tool.
I added it to Ustealth's first post thread :)

Thanks!
There’s no need to unplug anything btw, the homebrew will let you pick between the 2 insterted usb devices
