I read a while ago you could do that. I'm at the point in Pokemon Pearl where I can do that with the GBA games. I have Pokemon Emerald on the M3 with Pearl, so how do you activate the link so the DS acknowledges it existing?

Also I do have the latest Firmware (V29)

Sorry to bring this back up, but I just got to know. Does this feature just not work yet with the Pokemon games, or am I doing something wrong? I pick the Fire Red (J) with A, then pick Pearl with A, then the game loads. I go to where I am suppose to but I get a message of the guy talking, and it promptly does nothing.

Did you manage to get it to work ?

It could be that it doesnt load the fire red save into sram so you simply dont have any pokemon to transfer, or does even with no save should it detect at least the game pak ?

Try this from serebii.net

Elekible as you know is the evolved form of Electabuzz. It evolves by trading with the ElectroBoost item. However this item can only be found on Wild Elekid by the Power Plant. These don't appear unless you have FireRed plugged into your DS. It is #466 in the Pokédex. It is Electric Type.

See if you can at least encounter that pokemon with that item, in that location, this would rule out the problem with linking and would thus make it a save issue i assume.
