So my emummc keeps breaking after a while for some reason like 3 times now "uknown pkg1 version or corrupted blah blah blah" i updated atmosphere and hekate multiple times manually but it still doesnt seem to work, and the only way that i can get it to work is to completely wipe all files create a new partition and then put the files onto it again my emummc works again, but thats really annoying so i use syscfw now just for some custom themes, emulation and just games is this safe, or do i really switch to emummc now?

Maybe your SD card is failing causing the EmuMMC to get corrupted? Could possibly be a hekate_ipl.ini issue too.

If you care about getting banned then its probably not worth the risk for the sake of a custom theme in my opinion. It seems risky to me messing about with system stuff to theme your home screen.

The only thing I've ever done on SysCFW is backup my saves when the Switch was offline, so that's all I can personally tell you. (I've not injected downloaded saves or modified my own either).

yeah my switch is premodded (chip) and was already banned, so you say its safe on syscfw, cause unfortunately its already banned

Well you don't have the main worry I would have. Its possible you could accidently run some malicious homebrew or NSP that bricks your system, so ensure you have a full backup.

This compares the two: https://switch.hacks.guide/user_guide/all/cfw_environment.html so you can make an informed decision about which is best for you.
