Hacking Using Gw 3ds rom without internet connection

I see that we need to have an internet connection to launch gateway rom for versions 5.x+

and to play the console outside where theres no connection theres only 2 ways :

1) putting 3ds in sleep mode after running GW3ds rom

2) Tether it with mobile device that has 3G/LTE data working.

My question is if I have a 3DS console with lower versions e.g 4.5 Will I be able to play the roms without e
stablishing any internet connection?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

wow thats something I didn't know about. will I have to run the android application everytime I launch the rom tho?

This. There is at least 2 android apps that mirror the website that launches the GO exploit. But in all honesty, 4.5 is far more convenient. Install once with DS flashcart (until you launch DS software, then it must be reinstalled) and only navigating the system settings to launch the exploit.

Be awear that you probably won't be able to read the save files of your physical carts due to them being created on higher firmware. And if your games are recent they will have to be played in Gateway classic mode.

make sure you backup your Nand and store it on your PC incase anything goes wrong, you can undo the fault it could cause.
