easiest way is to map the network drive. that's how I have mine setup as drive Z.

What are you trying to do? Use data management to do what exactly? I assume you mean MicroSd management? Data management is the name of the menu item in the stock 3DS OFW to copy saves and such. Are you trying to transfer files over the network? Or are you trying to install .CIA files over the network?

To install a .CIA file over your network you need Boop.

You use Boop on your PC and FBI on your 3ds to install. (My preferred method of install. Less wear and tear on SD IMHO compared to copying the .CIA to your card and installing it. Essentially having 2 copies present at once.)

If you are trying to simply manage the files on your SD use MicroSD management in the System menu on N3DS. O3DS doesn't have the app but you can install it using a .CIA. Search "micro sd management" on that ISO site.
Once in the MicroSD management app on your 3DS, on windows you just go to network and you should see your 3DS. Pretty self explanatory.

That should help unless I missed the point completely.

As I normaly use freeshop for games but
pikmin and the new metroid are not on there
so im thinking of getting a torrent dl as both have been uploaded




is this still used ? or is there a updated way ?

A much simpler way to convert from .3ds to cia is using Godmode9

Copy the .3ds into /gm9/out/ on your SD card

Navigate to that location on the SD card (/gm9/out/)
Press A, pick "NCSD image options..."
pick "Build CIA from file"

That's your problem your using the old version of free shop the current version is 3.1.7 Paul's fork since The Crule is now in jail
