So, let's say I was trying to run https://github.com/St4rk/Chip8-ARM11 . Just an example. I do the process described in my previous post. I run it on my 3DS, and get the effects described earlier. Does anyone have any idea as to why?

No, it won't run, you can use it with base to build ARM11 code, but you need all handle, sharedMem etc which was initialized in browser and get to use ctrulib(of course which i can be wrong).

Don't have any out of region games unfortunately. I just pushed a few fixes though which caused it to crash earlier, so maybe redownload the unlaunch.dat?
What I have done:
Copied Launcher.dat to the root directory of my SDHC.
Returned SDHC to 2DS.
Turned on 2DS.
Inserted the test game, Nintendogs. (US, my region.)
Opened Download Play.
Returned home with Download Play still open.
Entered the browser.
Attempted to load go.gateway-3ds.com.

and,

Copied unlaunch.dat to the root directory of my SDHC.
Returned SDHC to 2DS.
Turned on 2DS.
Inserted the test game, Nintendogs. (US, my region.)
Opened Download Play.
Returned home with Download Play still open.
Entered the browser.
Attempted to load go.plxhack.us.

Both have returned me to the home screen with the usual error message and Download Play still open. My firmware, which I feel probably doesn't matter, is 8.1.0-19U. Any clue what is going on?

Is there enough space in that region for a simple code which displays helloworld on screen ?

Hm, I've only been able to test it on 4.x, although krisztian1997 seems to have gotten it to work on 9.x. Seriously though, make sure you have the latest unlaunch.dat from my repo. I might try to test it on a friend's 3DS if I can though.

I'll grab my sister's 3DS and try it, maybe. I think she is somewhere between 4.5-9.4.

I just tried it with a regular old DS cart, and it didn't seem to work. I didn't expect it to, but it would have been nice.

Err, I assumed I'd be able to open the .dat via any old text editor, but it crashes every time I do. I've tried it in gedit, on native Linux, and Notepad, on emulated Windows. Am I missing some sort of software here?

If you are talking about the launcher.dat or the payloads, get a hexeditor

St4rk, how do I modify the screen. From what I'm getting, that code only retrieves the screen, and I don't know how to modify/set the screen. *knows nothing about asm*
