Hacking Question Using CFW and restoring old Mode

Hello,

I a few questions regarding CFW on the Switch:
1) Do I need the jig always to be inside or is it just to boot into the RCM Mode?
2) Can I restore my console to stock, so I can play online with regular games without getting banned?
3) I wanted to use a 200 GB micro SD card but my console says it needs a update - is it safe to update or will my whole console be on a higher firmware?
4) To play Switch games I need to convert them from XCIs to NPS right?

1. Just to boot to RCM.
2. Yes. Before doing anything, backup and then never go online (unless you restore your clean NAND).
3. It will be on higher FW. But you can use ChoidujourNX to update to the same FW, but install exfat.
4. You can use ZeroTwoNsp to isntall XCIs directly or just download NSPs.

Download the update for the game in .NSP format and install it with a title manager such as Tinfoil.
