First from FTP get into your psp vita
Browse to "ux0:/app/PSPEMUCFW/flash0
take the entire "font" folder, to your PC............
Now to get PPSSPP working properly from the vita "font folder"
/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/PPSSPP/flash0/font/ ((retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/24999/getting-the-best-psp-experience-on-a-pi-4/31)
Replace all the 18 font files with the ones from your vita, this will fix PPSSPP Emulation on the Raspberry PI 4
(its suggested to reinstall PPSSPP from source, afterwards, I don't see a reason why though, since those bios files are not cached, unless I am mistaken)
Note*
There is one setting in PPSSPP, that can cause flickering, it is either in "lr-ppsspp" or "ppsspp", that was probably the last issue with "Ge Patch 2.0" on the vita, these projects are open source?
Otherwise @ defaults with "post processing shader 1: CRT scanlines AND post processing 2: Natural Colors (no blur)".............its full speed with no issues for the few games I tried..........class of heroes 1 and 2.....unchained blades .... elminage original..............Queens Blade Spiral Chaos 0.9 Beta English Translation
Many 2D games work at full speed and 2D/3D ish games............full 3D games some of them don't work very well on PPSSPP on the raspberry pi 4...........other then that, the games that work, look better then the vita with defaults and those 2 processing filters..............some suggested going 2x res and using aggressive low resolution for "lower resolution for effects (reduces artifacts"............however the PPSSPP emulator for the Raspberry PI4, does not seem to have noticable visual difference at 1x or 2x.........and that combination means nothing for the games that work well aready.
The VITA...............
"Clear framebuffers on first use (speedhack)" is not enabled in the default options of PPSSPP, and that equilavent may be causing the issues with "Gepatch 2.0"..............just a note.
EDIT
(default options for PPSSPP on rpi4, overclocked, but not needed for the 2D and 2D/3D ish games)
2x res and using aggressive low resolution for "lower resolution for effects (reduces artifacts" ........... that combination specifically, seems to remove some lag, the game is already at full speed, and, the character sliding animations in the beginning dialogs of class of heroes, is smoother.............just noticable enough to make that feasible as a default for now.
