I recently purchased the SNES online controller for my switch and I wondered if there was anyway through homebrew that I could connect it to my Wii U for games like Mario Maker?

it's probably possible, yes. I know that both the snes and nes nso controllers can connect to the pc without any additional hardware. however, the wii u either needs the toshiba bluetooth stack (this really messed up my other bluetooth devices) or the mayflash adapter (very much recommended). the mayflash adapter even works now that my bluetooth has gone out.

Is that their magicNS adapter? I've got that one but I don't know if it for a fact supports the snes online controllers?

I'm not sure. I have one of the snes controller connected to the built in bluetooth, without the adapter. my computer is still under warranty, so I need to get that fixed soon. I just hate not being able to use a mouse.

You could use the ones from the Snes mini classic.

They would be wired to the Wiimote in that case, not a huge deal, but I know some people care about truly being wirless, but that would work, though you then miss out on the RZ and LZ buttons that the SNES online controllers also have, though I suspect for most experiences on the Wii U that one would want an SNES controller for, they probably don't need the RZ and LZ buttons anyway.

I've been using a 8bitdo SN30 Pro controller with my Wii U through HID to VPAD homebrew app, but it only works with the USB cable and recognised as a Dual Shock controller. Didn't managed to connect it using the Bluetooth though and couldn't find a post about that yet. Any 8bitdo controller users that managed to connect the controller using Bluetooth?
