Use a gb boy color backlight with gameboy color?

So I pulled a backlight out of a gb boy color that took a dump on me. I took some pictures. Does anyone know if this could somehow be soldered into an official gameboy color? Just curious if it's worth holding onto it.

This is an old video about how the gbc screen is built up.


It shows that it's almost impossible to modify it because of the glass layers on t e back of the screen.

I think you would be better of with a benVenn screen instead of modifying your old one.

I can’t tell how long I was watching his channel (doesnotcomoute) for before modding my game boys. Very thorough. Watch them if you decide to loca your game boy color.
