Hi there.

edit: I finally got the Wii up and running. So far, the games I ripped from my original DVDs work just fine. No need to carry any discs, woot

However, the .isos that I get from other sources don't appear to work on my Wii.

I'm from the US so my wii is NTSC.
The .isos from my other sources are PAL.

Some games work, a majority do not.
I have tried auto-patching, forcing NTSC, but none of it appears to work.

Games like mario party 8 and pikmin 2 end up with green screen.
paper mario works up to the point where you create the mandatory .sav file (after they present the message of turning the wiimote sideways)
etc

Thank you again for all your help!

there's also country string patch fix, which works for most games unless if they are 249 based.
