Hacking Usb loader question

Im new to usb loading so bear with me please
I read the topics with other people asking about usb loaders and did some searching on this forum before posting this

Ive been using disc loading for awhile now but ive wanted to load from usb because i keep using up discs
This chirstmas i got a 4gb flash drive so im using that
The flash drive is FAT32 and i dont want to format it to WBFS or NTFS

Im using configurable usb loader v.50c
Im testing this with silent hill shattered memories (i already burned it to disc and it works from that disc)
I have cios rev15

I converted my iso file to a wbfs file and put that into usb:\wbfs
It shows up on my game list in the usb loader, and even downloaded the cover art for it

When i try to start it, it tries to use cios222 (which i dont have, and dont want) and says it failed to load cios222
I added ios=249 to the config.txt but it doesnt seem to work
I also dont have an option to select ios 249 from the ios select setting in the options

How do i force it to use ios249 and ignore cios222

Just install Hermes cIOS222/223 and get over with it.

Why would you not want it? It's what allows your loader to work on FAT formated drives. 249 can't handle that format, 222 can, and for some reason you just stubbornly don't want it? Is it because you are too lazy to be bothered to look for it? Like Hatsu said, just get hermies 222/223 and enable your wii to do what you want it to.

I did some more reading and realized ios249 doesnt support FAT

So i just installed cios222 and everything works
I was afraid my disc games wouldnt load if i had cios222, but they still work
