Hacking USB loader question(USB memeory)

Not sure if i'm posing in the right area, but here goes.

I've been thinking about installing a usb loader on my wii, but i don't got an external HDD, so i started to think, would a USB memory work or is it too slow for the games to run off it? Was just thinking, no harm there right?


I mean the external HDD's are pretty cheap, but always trying to cut corners when it comes to my power outlets.

So does anyone know if a usb memory would work with the usb loaders?

but cios is picky as always

So i gotta make sure the cios will accept the usb memory...hmm sounds easier to just get an external HDD

The same rule apply to external HDDs as usb flash memories.

No, but there's a page with compatible USB devices (usually, they are working with all cIOSes unless mentioned otherwise):
