yeah no way of knowin what line you are on in the settings, but thats been noted...

also, if the 40 second timeout ends and you get the -1 error and it says

press any button to restart

it freezes up and you have to manually shut it down, cant just press a button to restart

I just got a error message saying LibWii or something was out of memory when going through my games list on the widescreen version. Also, the cover coordinates are out on the widescreen version.

The Kid mode has still not been fixed - I can set Simple to 1 and it still allows me to uninstall/install games.

actually... i noticed it only effects the settings menu of games you have saved the options for...if you discard them...it reappears

In v7 Final (1.4), for some reason I can't Initialize the network, so I can't download any covers. Not sure why.

On that note, there is small glitch in the text output of the Initializing Network Error.

It reads:

[+] Initializing Network.
Error Initializing Network.
Download Aborted. [+] Select the game y
ou want to boot:

etc.

I believe a printf("\n"); or two, or even a Con_Clear(); is needed. Though, with the latter you lose the error message.

use layout = ultimatew

and the cover coords will be right

and the libpng error is caused by a partially downloaded image, check you sd card for the image of the game thats giving that error and delete it and try again

Also, the default widescreen image still has the 1 and 2 button functions listed. Is there a version with B for the settings menu?

I could not find a good widescreen background. Waiting someone to do it for me =)

Anyway, I think maybe the images got out of whack because I'd had them converted while using some custom settings that I forgot to disable. I'll delete them and have the loader resize them again and see what happens.

The 3d box covers are nice, but wouldn't it be easier to code something to 'skew' the 2d boxart to fit inside the 3d box, it would save having to continually resize new boxart.

@NeoRame, did you make a nice hbc icon for usbloader ultimate version using lowline style ?

yep, u can find my other hbc icons in the lowlines style here ;-) i love lowlines style.....

The 3d box covers use the exact same image as the other ones. The only resizing that is needed is if you are using widescreen (since everything gets stretched). The image is still completely rectangular 2d.

EDIT: At second glance, it looks like NeoRame's are changed...my mistake.

my cover pack have the 160x225 size, but for the 3d optic u must change your cover for self creating....

I really like the 3D boxart. It looks awesome! So much better then the regular pic. I don't like the background at all tho. Too plain looking and I just dont like the colours. Just not my taste thats all. I think the boxart would look good on the 'default' and 'new background' on page 1.

Really like your last concept. Any chance you might be able to do a reverse on it? Make a Black verion of it with the white lettering? Instead of the Grey with black lettering? For some reason the blacks look more sleek to me on the screen.

jup a can do it for you, but it takes some minutes (im on work, u must wait until i am home ;-))

thats my problem this is the reason why i have asked if its possible to set transparnecy to the cover png. so i can rezise the covers without covers and you can use it for every theme with my box art style......

hmm.....layout "ultimate2" works great for me

..... just to test things out I set it to "ultimate1" seems it uses the new default background...even though it uses the old layout. but it does use the new button mapping which is great

...so in short...default background for "ultimate1" needs update

I believe there is not separate server to download the new 3D covers, but if you have it set to auto download covers, it should still download the original ones. This is what I mean

how i sayed, u cant use transparency, so u must create for every an extra coverpack. i know its stupid..... :-(

I have been following this thread and I see that you all are trying to make the covers have a transparent corners and "tilt" them. I don't know exactly what they need to be shaped like, but somebody try this...

Let me know if that pic shows up transparent in your loader.

i have allready test it. and it wont work, this is the reason why my covers have backgrounds.....
and for photoshop cs3 (a droplet.exe) i have a batch reziser/converter allready done....

Nope, that didn't change anything. The cover positioning is still a tiny bit off. But hey, at least I got to verify that cover downloads work fine. And they're a lot faster than the first time I used the feature. Good work!
