Hacking USB Loader GX

I have usb loader gx in my apps folder and it works fine from hbc. I wanted to add a gx loader channel to the wii menu so I downloaded usb loader gx channel wad, but evertime I try to install it keeps coming up as ERROR! (ret = -1029)

What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it so I can have the gx loader channel on my wii menu?

What file on there do I want? I only need the wad for the channel.
would it be r938.wad Revision 938, compiled at Sun Jul 4 01:17:39 UTC 2010 - These channels are untested by the team, and can easily brick your Wii! Jul 2010 6.1 MB 61664

Can I uninstall gx from hbc and reinstall it and then try to add the channel. Would that work or help me out?

ret -1029 is because you are not using a good Wad Manager.

Try installing the channel again with (at least) Wad Manager v1.7
There are other managers which should work too. Just verify that you are using the latest version.

Edit:
Or use a cIOS with base 36 or 38 as cIOS for the installation.
cIOS rev17 is good for all Wad Managers from any versions.

cIOS rev18+ need newer Wad Manager (1.7+)

USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_4_0_AHBPROT.wad is the forwarder you need , and Cyan advise and get a new wad manager
