This is my config files, i have only changed the language from italian to english and the loader ios from 249 to 58.
Backup your configuration file in your pc or just rename it preventing the overwrite (just in case) and then put the extracted gxglobal.cfg that you will find in the attached .zip file into the usbloadergx folder that is in sd/apps.

They are wii games or gc games?
So just to make sure I don't screw this up. I take the GXglobal.cfg file from inside my version of USB loader (copy it somewhere for instance), and then copy in the version that you have just sent to me?

Yes :) Then launch usb loader gx and cross your fingers XD

It was Pal from what i've seen,
Tried to forced NTSC once when i had that idea that maybe games are NTSC but that didn't work either :(

Look at the title ID. If they're NTSC the 4th letter should be "E".
ex:
ROGE78 - Tak and the Guardians of Gross NTSC
ROGP78 - Tak and the Guardians of Gross PAL
ROGJ78 - Tak and the Guardians of Gross NTSC-Japan

Well, I went in and initially there was nothing there. The NAND was not ticked in the loader mode, so I ticked it, and it went back to normal. No GC games there, just what I had before. Frustrating. I guess it's an issue with the USB flash drive then?

Maybe. You should try with a wii game.

usually, the issue is caused by "returning to" an old version when exiting nintendont.
reloading an old version (the full channel) which doesn't have the new settings cause these settings to be deleted from the GXglobal.cfg
If it returned to the correct revision, your settings would still be there as they would be known and not deleted.

did you try to do it manually ?
1. run USBGX from HBC.
2. set a setting you can easily check later to see if it's preserved or lost.
3. exit USBGX (not from launching nintendont, just exit > to HBC or system menu)
4. from system menu, launch USBGX channel (forwarder)
5. check your setting, is it good or lost ?

if it works, and your setting is preserved, then it's related to nintendont only ?
run USBGX -> nintendont -> exit back to return to USBGX.
setting lost?

I could ask if the lost setting is only set during the "last session" before launching nintendont, or if even very old changed and already saved settings in multiple previous sessions were lost too?

If it's affecting only settings set in "last session" then there's a setting saving bug when launching nintendont. can be fixed easily by forcing a setting save before launching a game.
if it's affecting old changes, then to me it looks like a conflict of different version, and I don't know the cause if you really have the same version.
Settings preserved in both cases. I still have yet to test loading a GC game via HDD.

Both of them are pal.
I now reformatted the USb and Sending the two previous games and ssbb(again pal) to my stick with WiiBackupManager.
Any other suggestion?

Maybe you have some wrong setring. Backup your gxblobal.cfg ( just in case), Insert mine in your usb loader gx folder (placed in sd/apps)

well still that didn't work for me :(
With your config file i was able to get into loader for 3 times on 10 reboots.
Sometimes it was freezing into Changing cios from config file
sometimes it was freezing on usb reinitilize.
I manager to see my games in 2 of the 3 times i got into loader.
None of the games worked, still black screen and after a while i'm getting back to hbc

Sounds like the storage device. Are you using a HDD or flash drive? Flash doesn't really work properly on Wiis, especially when trying to write to them.

I'm using a sandisk cruzer switch 32 gb.
Got also a 40gb ide HDD but didn't try cause i think ide are more slower.
U think that usb flash drive makes the problem?

i'm using a cruzer switch myself and they're kinda among the slowest sticks i've ever had.
still good enough for wii and gamecube games though, but transfering from and to them is slow
