I am getting weird results with this rev. First where USB Loader GX reads how much space is left on my hdd it should say 1347 of 1863gb free instead it says 13r7 of 1863gb free. Second Issue some of my gamecube games show up twice in the loader. Third issue is exception dsi occurred usually happens when launching games. this is all on vWii.
Im having the same issue with gb free. one of the digits gets corrupted. and a dsi error when i tried to return to usb loader gx once. im gonna try 1234 again and see if the problem is gone.

I installed the official
r1180 version and I am not having the issues anymore. I added the games again (from disc, using the "+"-button in the GUI) and both started just fine. Anyone else having problems installing new games from disc using r1235?

i tried installing a gc game and got a black screen crash. tried again and it installed but now wont start.

I've also been getting an issue in this revision where my custom game titles are continuously being forgotten. It has only started with this revision, and I've tried reinstalling USB Loader GX from scratch with no luck.

For now, I've disabled loading game titles from GameTDB and named everything manually. This seems to have solved the issue for now.

corrupted text is memory issue.
it's also what I suspected with the banner disappearance issue, and it can cause many other strange issue we don't know yet.

I don't know how to fix this, I don't know if the loader reached the maximum available memory or overwriting existing parts etc.

I wanted to release the nintendont fix quickly, but rushing is always bad because not enough tests are done.
I will probably revert the last changes and remove the new controller's support.
I'll keep only nintendont detection fix as "available on internal update" for end users.

Users who will still want to use new controller can use 1235 or later version I'll release but not push on internal update.
I will require to do more tests and debug, I don't know when I'll have time.

I wish I had beta testers, not "beta" builds posted in the beta thread which were downloaded by everyone and posted everywhere as if it was a good release like it was the case last year. So I stopped posting in the beta thread. I have only one active person on IRC willing to do some tests.

DevkitPPC r26
I built the loader and the libraries (wupc and sicksaxis) with that version.
I recently updated latest devkitpro when installing 3DS libraries, but it didn't touch existing devkits.

I need to fix compiling with r27
I can try to compile libraries with r27 and the loader with r26, but not sure if that will be good ...
OR maybe I mixed everything and actually included libraries compiled with r27 in usbgx compiled with r26 and that's why it has strange behavior.

Has there been a fix for the issue that wii u users were having with two hard drives connected? The wii u hard drive and the hard drive for usblaoder.

Hi all.
Need a little help. I was testing the different options in ULGX (BTW, I'm having the same issues and DSI errors randomly as some guys in this post. Also the space left issue. vWII as well) and being the smartass that I am I decided to try to dump the emunand to USB (vWII mind you) and installing some wads to it.
Well, it gave me an error so I quit.
No harm done, right?
WRONG. I can't access anything on my HDD. No emus, no loader anything, so I took the HDD out, connected it to my PC and what do you know. There's nothing in it. Only the emunand folders. (shared1, sys, ticket, etc)
Now, I KNOW my games/folders are still in there somewhere cause the HDD is practically full (and the emunand files are a couple of hundred megs at most) thing is how do I recover them? I mean, what did ULGX did to them? Does anybody know?
Thanks.

I'm sorry if this is a result to the latest loader's revision bug.
I will remove that version from internal update menu to prevent any more issues.

edit:
I tested it, I don't have HDD free size issue on my vWii...
I'll try to recompil, but I will need a user to tell me if everything is fine or not.
I'll probably post it here.

Hey, don't sweat it man!
It's not like you owe any of us anything.
If anything we're very grateful for all the hard work you put into this loader.
Anyway, back to my issue do you have any idea how to fix it? how can I recover my files?
Maybe you could try to replicate the steps in a dummy HDD if you have one.
All you have to do is dump the nand from within ULGX and then install any wad to it.
Maybe that way you could take a look at what the problem may be...
I really, REALLY would prefer not to have to reformat my entire drive and start from scratch

I just tested it again on vWii and don't have the HDD size issue.
maybe it's a random issue, I'll try again

Edit:
HDD mounting at boot setting doesn't seems to work either.
even when it's set to disabled it tries to mount it...

I would GLADLY help you testing it but as I said. I'm currently without an external HDD. (well, it is phisically here. And my files APPEAR to be in there, somewhere... But I need to recover them before being able to test anything)

Try dumping the nand and installing a wad to it please.
I'm hoping there's a way to recover my external :(

*EDIT*K... I'm kinda freaking out by now...
Is there hope of recovering my files? I even tried running file recovering apps on the external just to see if they could find the files somewhere to no avail. (I was very careful not to write anything to the drive BTW. Just in hopes that it is still possible to recover it's contents)
Can anybody give me a hand here?

I'm currently dumping my NAND with r1234 on a USB FAT32 drive.
I'll now test to install wad (need to find one to test, I'll try installing the forwarder)

Edit: installing Wad worked fine and my HDD is not corrupted or formated.

Reported drive size is fine too.
The invisible channel bug seems to occur with me only if I don't have HDD connected (SD only = bug, but I don't know if it's related, only a quick remark).

I don't know if there's a way to recover your files.
I don't even know how it could happen.
the loader never call format command, and if your drive's FAT Table was corrupted you would see a lot of corrupted files and folder's names. the disc check would have found errors and missing files.

It definitely didn't format the drive cause like I said the space is still being occupied by the files.
Somehow, the loader "replaced" (and I put in on quotes cause it didn't actually "replaced" anything) everything in the drive with ONLY the emunand folders.
And yeah, the table is most likely not corrupted cause the drive is working fine. AFAIK. This is CERTAINLY the weirdest thing that has happened to me regarding wii/wiiu modding-
Files appear to be hidden somehow, but not even running a dir /ah on CMD shows them. So they're kind like in the twilight zone...
Waiting for the result of your test.
Thanks for the help man. I really appreciate it.

BTW, is r1234 the one that gets installed with the PC based installer? Cause that's the one I was using...

yes, that's the same file from the zip and from the internal/computer installer.
there's no r1235 dol (unless someone compile it now, it will be r1235 but without any changes, r1235 is only released file upload to svn)

It happen to me in r1235, that sometimes it checks the title name from internal ISO, other times it checks from title.txt (?) overdriving it, I don't have missing titles but they got in different order upon different boots, for example sometimes it reads "Okami" and it place the title after "N", other times it reads the title as "Ôkami" and place the title at the end of the list, channel banner display correctly, I don't use the other modes so can say if everything is alright. Just yesterday got a strange green screen after scrolling in channels, never happened before...

And like other guys have mentioned the free space is broken, it just doesn't show me any info.
