Hi, I haven't seen it running it but is the new HBC link within the loader hidden when the loader is locked.

Kid reasons.

What is the problem with the kids, what can they do wrong?

My 4yo watches and learn or as I like to say "Monkey see Monkey do". She can't read, she just turned 4, but she knows which icons to point at. On the SD card I have WAD managers, cIOS rev installers etc, hate to image what could happen if little miss started to click away in there. So "Out of sight, out of mind"

Same reason the settings and games can be locked or blocked.

Its the same reason why I created some channel wads to have her favorite games on the main wii channel screen.

Can the game "Wii Sports Resort with Wii MotionPlus" be played with the loader without upgrading to 4.1
Yes it can, running 3.3E, works fine with just the 002 fix enabled after doing the alt.dol first video instruction trick.

Rev 632 now allows locking of HBC feature

Perfect!
This apps is like a bottle of red wine, it just gets better with age.

Thanks guys, top stuff.

Hmm. With revision 633. When I press (2) to get info about Wii Sports Resort and then press to go back, I get code dump screen. First one is:

Exception (DSI) Occurred!

Followed by lots of numbers.

Then it says 'Restarting 10...9...8...'

Doesn't restart, dumps again, this time saying:

Exception (Program) Occurred!

Followed by lots of numbers and the restart countdown.

Any suggestions please? Only seems to happen on Wii Sports Resort.

EDIT: It is also doing the same thing when I goto 'Favourites' (I have none set by the way). But it freezes, then code dumps with the same 'Exception (Program) Occurred!'.

4.1E PAL Wii. cIOS 13b. GX v633. None of this occurred on previous builds.

EDIT: The problem is something to do with my Wiitdb.zip file. When I remove it from the SD card, I cannot replicate the issues above.

So put 630 DOL back on card. Reupdated to 633. Regenerated the wiitdb.zip file. Problem with Wii Sports Resort is back again, however the favourites bug I cannot replicate anymore.

Did you try the fix in my post above yours?
That fix didn't work for me. I deleted my config files, went down to r629 then updated. However it didn't download any wiitdb.zip file so I went to the site and got my own. That's when I got the green screen, so I am assuming that wiitdb.zip file is the cause.

It is the wiitdb file. The loader is trying to load all of that info into memory upon boot. When you update now it downloads a wiitdb that only includes games from you region so there isn't so much info to load into memory.
Sorry if I'm missing something, but how do I get USB Loader GX to download the wiitdb file for me?

Well, the way I did it was I went back to r620, downloaded the full wiitdb from the site and placed it in my titles.txt path, deleted my config files, booted the loader and went straight to update all. It should overwrite your current wiitdb with an updated one. I had to go through with the downgrade because it won't let you update the wiitdb if your already at the most current revision.
Tried that as well and still having problems with the wiitdb file. I tried using the one from wiitdb.com and the one from the USB Loader downloads section.

I also noticed that when I have the wiitdb file in my directory, apps freeze when I use the HBC Launcher via USB Loader.

ok i think im getting it now, thanks for all the help so far.

im using a 1tb mybook, ive given 250g to the WBFS which is where you put the games. so if i format the other 750g to fat32 thats where the config file will go. is that right?

make sure the FAT32 partition is Partition 1, USB loader GX reads off the first partition only
WRONG. don't listen to this guy at all. i think he's high.

I was just wondering, I'm on Revision 633. I noticed that it's been stated that revision 635 is out. Can anyone else not update through the update function on the loader? My network is working just fine, but it says that there are no new updates...

readmiiJust because there is a newer revision than what you are using does not mean that it will be on the update server.

Thanks. Where is that ReadMii located? I looked around the site to find stuff to learn about the forum (as I've been a user of USB Loader GX for quite some time, and have just started participating in issues, but this is my first time here), but couldn't find anything...thanks again though, for that piece of info. :-D Puts my mind at ease, since I've been trying to reproduce a few issues that I didn't damage anything. :-D

Can somebody point me to a Guide on how to Compile the revision. I would like to be up to date with the latest revisions as the numbers really goes fast and have to rely till somebody compiles it. I know I can do the update from my Wii but I don't have a connection at home

Someone correct me if I am wrong, I think this was implemented already a few revisions back. The dol is taken from the iso of your usb drive.

I hope someone can help me on my post above.

You installed the forwarder channel or your wii and put the dol on the SD card. everything worked fine till you took out your sd card (with the app on it) now the forwarder channel is looking on the usb for it but you never bothered to put a dol there for it to find. just copy the folder structure from your SD to the usb and the read the readmii twice to make sure it sinks in.

make sure HBC sees it on your HDD. if HBC doesn't see it then you may have messed up the path structure or not made the partition primary/active.
