To get a stack dump just plug in a gc controller and go to settings and change anything, now exit to the wii menu and start the loader again with the gc controller pluged in. Can someone please fix this for me. I don't like removing the gc controller every time I start the loader. It dose not happen in rev447 but start in 448 if that helps. Tested 463 and the bug is still there. Thanks for all the hard work. The loader looks better and better every day.

I have rev12 installed as 222,223, and 249

So far 463 dol is working good.

was on 456 dol

I am not at home to test. But I really want to know whether there are any issues when change the per game options and the global options (e.g. changing the cover path). Can the option be saved successfully ?

P.S. I tried 456. After changing the cover path, it just reset to the default value the next reboot.

Latest revision (alpha/beta/whatever)
r462 + r463
(dol and elf, whatever you need)

r463 merged CleanUp branch source into main.
NOTE: You might not want to update right away because there might still be some
issues. New issue reports to this are of course welcome

.

r462 is the last rev before the merging

OR
check the site's http://usbloadergx.koureio.net/ download page
for the latest official channel (r447 - 2009/06/04), the new official forwarder (2009/06/04), official covers (2009/05/28) and discs (2009/05/30) packs, language files, old hermes 222 which was compatible, Waninkoko's cIOS38 v13b plus anything else that worth the space

You can also grab the now outdated pack of Version 1.0 for the icon and meta file.

NEWS page informs about the important stuff
(plz read the first post or the help page + FAQ page at the sitebefore asking
)

People who cant load the loader or having some troubles
they should try to use .ELF
since .ELF is a lot more accurate in processing code

In the forwarder channel where on my sd card do I put the files contained within the config folder? The config folder in the root directory that I already have or within apps/usbloader_gx? Everytime I try using the forwarder channel at the moment I keep getting reset back to the wii menu after I get the second (new) splash screen - have used 427 and 420 in both dol and elf varieties (changed to boot.xxx of course). The boot.dol or .elf I have within apps/usbloader_gx as per stated. Also every time I try it via my sd card when I go back to navigate the card via my PC after it failing to load I cant access the usbloader_gx directory anymore - (error message saying its damaged or corrupted). My card is formatted to FAT and loads the GUI-FX forwarder and other wads etc no problem? The only way I can remove it is by changing the directory name putting a fresh usbloader_gx folder in and then removing the old renamed folder! Beginning to suspect a corrupted download of some description.

defaults

sd/config/GXGameFavorites.cfg
sd/config/GXGameSettings.cfg
sd/config/GXGlobal.cfg
sd/config/titles.txt
sd/config/backgroundmusic/

sd/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol
sd/apps/usbloader_gx/icon.png
sd/apps/usbloader_gx/META.XML
sd/apps/usbloader_gx/themes/
sd/APPS/usbloader_gx/images/covers/
sd/APPS/usbloader_gx/images/disc/

also i found out recently when you do a internal update it goes to the folder you have set for updates in the settings. and will load from that folder.

also not to sure but is your SD card on the compatibility list for usb loaders?

Hello there,

I have many problems with the latest Revisions.

I installed cIOS Rev 13b and cIOS222 the I got back to cIOS Rev 10.

Now all games get a code dump at start. In Waninkoko USB loader 1.5 the games works perfectly.

Any Ideas ?

An other issue: in the GX loader on the settings page I have white pixel on the black ground which are blinking randomly.

This one's a little off topic as far as stability issues and etc.

But I must say that despite the bugs (no room to complain really, it's a work in progress 24/7) this is by far my favorite USB loader hands down, and I thought I'd like to share what I use for some of my background music to enhance the experience. It's the entire Super Mario World soundtrack redone with a whole variety of real instruments by one person, and it's amazing to listen to while browsing my collection.

another issue which i'm not sure anyone has mentioned yet :
sdhc cards are working fine except that texture maps for smash bros brawl wont load from sdhc .
custom textures work by loading substitute files from the sd card to replace the textures stored on the disc . for some reason , the sdhc support seems to drop out after booting the game . is that something that can be corrected here ? i'm guessing it has something to do with code taken from geckoOS .
Thats these new ocarina codes with more than 255 cheats in one file i think. We can't get these texture swaps working because right now we dont have the source of the new geckoOS and he wont release it. Ask the author of geckoOS with a pretty please for the source

and we will try to implement it.

One thing, I agree with few person here.... stop the development of new option and try to get the most stable this loader....

Same as Rambytes : USB Loader GX already has all the features we need. Now all that we want is bugfixes.

Thats easier said than done as there are a few lads coding different options and features. This mean really that the best person to correct the bugs is the one that worked on that part of the code. It would be stupid and boring for everyone to stop developing and work fixing each others code. I for one if I were able would not like it and I am sure they don't either. As cyrex and the boys said on many occations use an offical release as this would be the most stable version at the moment.

Are you using CIOS222 or 249? If you are using 222 last version that worked with it was 430 whatever they are still games that do not work with 249 in GX but work with other loaders one that it comes to my mind right now is George the Jungle. When you start this game goes right to a green screen (disc screen does not even pop up) and then reboots to the wii menu but works with 1.5. Dimok knows about the 222 cIOS problem (unloading memory) and hopefully he will fix it soon.

A little help thanks, I'm trying to use the aluwiinium theme, but no matter what I can't get everything to show up as the theme, not sure why, The main thing thats not working is the main backgrouns, any help?
