LOL!

How about...
"IKnowThisNameIsReallyLongButHereIsTheUSBLoaderGXGLOBALSettingsFile.txt"
and
"IKnowThisNameIsReallyLongButHereIsTheUSBLoaderGXGAMESettingsFile.txt"

LOL!

It looks like we're getting no where with this, so how about a different subject...

How about having a custom location, for the "titles.txt" file?
This should be a LOT easier than moving the config locations, right?

What about that other suggestion?
First let it try to load the config file from the same directory the dol is in. If that fails (in wad or through forwarder), try a hardcoded path. You can make a nice function for that.
getLoaderFolder() for example. So then instead of using "SD:/config/globalsettings.cfg" in the lines of code where it appears you then use the call to that function.

yeah than no application will conflict with it for sure lol

I had no complaints in the first place, but if you wanted to just leave it at sd:/config/ and change the files to GXglobal.cfg and GXgame.cfg I think you'd be safe, while maintaining concise readability.

This may have been requested before, but anyway someone can add compatibility to use iso 232?

That way, Rock Band 2 and GH:WT can make use of the instruments?

Or is there some reason this wouldn't work?

cIOS for the moment doesn't support more than one USB device at a time , maybe in future releases

hi i have the same issue with the gh 3 , wath i do to make it work, you have to restart the song once it as start, after the song in sync,

i didnot have this issue with guitar hero metallica , only twith the guitar hero 3

try that or juste re-rip it from the loader
same story here.. Metallica works fine, world tour works fine,, but gh3 and gh customs go out of sync,, I just have got into the habbit of hitting pause and going to the sync screen.. YOU DONT HAVE TO SYNC IT,, Just go to that screeen and then exit out and its synced.
Same here, except I don't even bother going to the sync screen, just pause the song (I usually wait a second or two or until I see the first note before pausing) and then just unpause it after a couple of seconds and it's in sync. I haven't tried them yet, but I thought the sync issue was caused by the 3x speed and would be fixed running from a USB HD?

Also, on another note, what's the best way to add the custom GH discs that have the same ID as the originals?

question when you boot the game with the loader, can you go back to the loader when your in the game?
This would only be possible if you write a wrapper that the game runs in. This would severely impact game performance!

This is stupid too. Because when you load the loader through HBC the config is loaded from dol directory and when from Channel and stuff its from sd:/config/usbloadergx/

What if one user uses both from time to time? He would have to move the shitty files around the SD. I think best solution is a constant folder for the freaken configs. Just need a good one so people stop complaining.

I agree with that. Put everything like themes, config, covers and discs all in one folder, then in sub folders. Why don't you make a poll or something like it, so then people won't even have the right to complain

Just FYI, I had eleven games that would not dump with IMGburn on any of my three PCs no matter what. They had tons of unrecoverable read errors and CRC errors and in the end the loader dumped them all perfectly. It also dumps way faster as it doesn't dump them all to 4.5GB and then have to still copy them over with WBFS. It seems to rip out the unneeded data on the fly. This program rocks. I notice a couple bugs, sometimes after ripping a game if I change the name the screen goes blank and locks up and I have to hold down the power button to reboot it. Happened once in the settings screen also. Then it seems that almost every time that I exit out and go back to the menu and then back into the loader it doesn't recognize my hard drive and I have to power cycle it. Other than that it has been working like a champ!

You may find this hard to believe (had i not experienced it i know i would) However Its likely your DVD DRIVE not the IMGBURN APP
wink.gif

I have 2 drives one a sony dru dual layer dvd burnder......the other a VERY CHEAP LITE-ON DVD READER....

Using the "better sony burner....I GOT A TON OF READ ERRORS! (creating image from disc using backups to add to my usb loader USB external WD book drive)

YET if i use THE CHEAP DVD ROM READ DRIVE FROM LITE-ON I CAN MAKE PERFECT ISO FILES FROM ANY BACKUP USING IMGBURN!

HOW CRAZY IS THAT!!!!!

So while i know it sounds like a case of insanity ...Just try a drive thats NOT a burner but just a plain DVD-ROM to make the backup ISO from with IMGburn (turn of verify it wont help a wii game and be sure you IMGburn is fully updated the app is free!)
Why are you even making ISOs of backups anyways? Why not just put the backup in your PC DVD drive and dump it directly onto the WBFS drive using one of the programs that will do it on the fly? Much quicker...

My "vote" is still for "SD:/apps/USBLoaderGX/configs/"! This would work for both HBC AND Forwarders!!

Bomb? was that a joke?

there is a program to change the game id's made by nixx.. the version i have is called wbfs-gui v20 I think

I did not know that such a program existed. What is it called? WBFS does not seem to have the capability to rip from disc.

This is the best solution IMO. This way no one can complain because it wont hurt anyone having more than one file of an application in one directory. I guess i am gonna change it to this. Also i like the file names.

Should I also change the themefile's name? like GXtheme.cfg?
